2. Volunteer work abroad for free

The following organizations work with subsidies or bring you in direct contact with volunteer projects. This way you can do free volunteer work abroad or at minimal cost:

WWOOF brings volunteers into contact with organic farms. In exchange for volunteering, you get food, accommodation and the chance to learn about organic lifestyles.

Erasmus + Youth offers the European Voluntary Service (EVS) program for young people between the ages of 17 and 30 who want to volunteer. The voluntary work is for a minimum of two and a maximum of 12 months in a European country. The majority of your costs are reimbursed as motivation to make young people more connected to Europe.

AIESEC offers with the Global Citizen Project volunteer work for students who want to work for a better world and want to work on their personal development. The projects last 6 to 8 weeks. AISEC offers personal guidance and accommodation is always provided.

Workaway.info is a marketplace for volunteers and organizations or individuals that can use volunteers. In exchange for a few hours of help per day you get shelter, food and the opportunity to get to know the local culture.

JoHo offers various types of volunteer work in more than 185 countries. Often this volunteer work is free or completely taken care of. However, you must first take a JoHo service subscription.
